Musys in Malta

the dormitory

Not really a dorm but large enough to become so if there are more guests than we normally get. This room is the newest in the house and was probably built after the Second World War. As such the stonework is rather ordinary so we have left it plastered although the original metal "I" beams have been replaced with wooden beams; 7 or them in Red Deal. In one corner we have the "Blain" box enclosing a shower, loo and basin for use by those sleeping upstairs.

The original "I" beams can just be seen with the ceiling stones laid between them. The problem was that as they rusted they pushed the walls apart so had to be replaced with the wooden beams seen below.

A large and airy bedroom.
